Vanilla Beans! That's what is in the photo there.

We recently started a new batch of vanilla extracts since our last batch is about ready to use! We tried something a little different this time. We started with three different liquors, an Estate Rum, a VSOP Brandy, and then for our workhorse vanilla extract, a nice drinkable Vodka whose name shall go unmentioned (but trust us, you all know this one!)

What's different about this batch, is that we're using two different types of Madagascar Vanilla, an Extract Grade (a little drier) and a 30% moisture content Bourbon (Grade A) bean.

It will be about six months before our extracts are ready. When they are, we'll post more about how they turned out!
